Stella’s new festival series, Port de Stella, imported the vibrancy of Europe’s most popular port cities and tastemakers to U.S. ports-of-call, starting with Super Bowl LIV.

Under my leadership, our team was asked to brand the program, lead design as it applied to PR, OOH, shopper as well as other touch-points managed by partner agencies, create a style guide and brand toolkit for the IMCs, and support creation of all assets required to produce the inaugural Miami event.

The campaign required several modular and customizable builds that could adapt to various key market locations and activation budgets. These included but were not limited to entrance archways, vendor stalls, photo ops, master class-style spaces, hero and satellite bars, dining areas, and signage.

The nautical vibe of the logo and maritime signal-inspired patterns provided a foundation for the look and feel of the event, which was documented in detail in a comprehensive style guide.

Whether arriving by boat, bicycle, motorbike or bridge, guests experience Stella’s co-collaborations with some of most popular music acts, trendsetters of style, and culinary stars that have the same European approach to life. In Miami, these collaborations were with VanDutch, artists Sofi Tukker and DJ Irie, and panelists Karamo and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Stella has also partnered with The Infatuation for one-night dinners curated by chef Rosio Sanchez of Sánchez Cantina in Copenhagen and Nabil Hadj Hassen of Roscioli Salumeria con Cucina in Rome.

RESULTS: Media outlets lauded Stella’s out-of-the box approach to Super Bowl advertising and in 2021, the success of Port de Stella evolved into Seaport Artois. I’m proud to have been part of the team that steered the brand on this nautical journey.
